About the spot

Schelpenstrand is a compact Haringvliet launch reached by a walk of about 400 metres. Stones and limited shore space require careful equipment handling. Deeper water and wind chop follow beyond the entry.

Quieter use does not make it a straightforward training beach. Independent sessions require reliable upwind control and a deep-water return. As the kite area is not consistently marked on the water, visitors should establish its boundaries from local guidance before launching.

Year-round; establish the unmarked kite-zone boundaries locally and inspect the stony entry.
