About the spot

Hindeloopen offers extensive shallow water for freeriding and supervised learning. Beyond the sandbank, the bottom drops away and conditions differ from the nearshore standing area. Wind strength and crowding determine how manageable a session is.

Prepare equipment at the dike, then move beyond the wooden posts before launching from the water. Announcements of a future sand beach do not confirm its present condition. First-time visitors should inspect the actual entry, obstacles and depth on arrival.
