About the spot

Hoek van Holland supports waves and freeriding but deepens quickly and can develop strong shorebreak. Southwesterly winds may arrive gusty through the harbour surroundings; southerly through easterly winds are unsuitable and offshore.

The WSHV and HWSV club profiles access the same public zone between Royal and Rechtestraat. Within that roughly 500-metre section, launching is restricted to a signed strip about 150 metres wide. Club grounds and facilities have separate access rules. Independent riders need a reliable return through surf.
