About the spot

Northern zone 1 near Makai is available for kiting year-round. A broad beach leads across extended shallows before reaching deeper water and North Sea waves. Sandbanks reshape the usable channels as the tide changes.

The venue supports freeriding, wave sessions and supervised instruction, but currents remain relevant. Keep clear of the pier, other watersports users and swimming areas. Adjacent central zone 2 closes from April through September, including on days when no swimmers are present.
