About the spot

IJmuiderslag is IJmuiden's southern, year-round zone 3. Access crosses the dunes to a broad sandy beach. The curved coastline allows different wind angles from a straight North Sea beach, but surf and deeper water still shape the session.

Even calmer conditions can include rip currents and changing banks. Local schools can advise on the day's setup. Zone 2 immediately to the north closes during summer and must not become an overflow launching area.
