About the spot

Trintelhaven is a small seasonal venue on the Houtribdijk. The open IJsselmeer becomes deep quickly and develops short, steep chop in stronger winds. Its inland setting does not guarantee an easy return to shore.

Buoys restrict the usable area. Independent riders need reliable upwind and self-rescue skills; beginners require suitable supervision. Access and equipment handling must leave the dike's cycle route clear. The unusually short permitted season is worth checking before arranging a trip.
