About the spot

P1–P3 is an exposed winter wave venue with deep water, breaking surf and strong currents. Experienced riders need to identify rips and return without relying on standing depth. It is unsuitable for independent first attempts.

NKV describes October–April use as tolerated; an anticipated permit is not evidence that approval has been issued. Closed winter car parks can alter access. The neighbouring P5–P6 section should not be treated as a generally available alternative launch.
