Oldambtmeer is a gusty inland venue where the water becomes deep quickly. Shore obstacles and bathing activity prevent a straightforward beach launch. It requires experienced lake riders and a specifically confirmed entry point.

The regional water information describes kiting as tolerated rather than generally authorised. NKV's season statements also conflict over April. October through March is therefore the conservative planning window used here, but even then riders must confirm that their particular launch and access are currently accepted.
