About the spot

Ouwerkerk is a compact winter venue on the Oosterschelde. Higher water levels generally provide more usable riding depth, but the shell-covered launch remains small. Low water becomes extremely shallow and exposes sharp bottom hazards.

Footwear and a controlled launch matter more than the apparent reassurance of standing depth. A diving area to the south must remain clear. Limited parking and rigging space also restrict how many riders can use the location comfortably at once.
