About the spot

Rockanje's sports beaches sit outside the central bathing beach. Offshore banks reduce breaking waves, but the water can deepen quickly beyond the shallows. A reliable waterstart is essential despite the relatively sheltered appearance.

South and southeast winds can carry riders away towards Slufter and the open North Sea. The distant sandbank is outside the permitted riding area. Allow space around swimmers, changing depths and partially submerged obstacles near the second beach access.
