About the spot

Noorderstrand near Jumpteam is a demanding North Sea venue close to the harbour area. Deep water, surf and currents require confident wave and self-rescue skills. Groynes add difficulty at unfavourable tide levels.

The kite section starts north of groyne 42 by the lighthouse and runs roughly 250 metres towards De Naald. Keep the separate surfing area and harbour approach clear. Heavy use makes a precise assisted launch and adequate spacing more important than reaching the water by the shortest route.
