About the spot

Slufter combines wave riding with flatter water around shifting sandbanks. Moving west takes riders into deeper, choppier water and breaking waves. The tide changes both the depth and the position of the usable shallows.

Strong tidal flow and rip currents require confident upwind riding and open-water experience. The protected area south of the kite zone is closed. A calm-looking patch behind a bank should not be mistaken for a generally safe beginner lagoon.
