About the spot

It Suderstrand is a demanding IJsselmeer venue with deep water and substantial wind chop. Shore proximity does not provide continuous standing depth. Independent riders must control the entry, hold ground and return without assistance.

Launch from the water outside the separated swimming area. Earlier plans to remove that area should not be treated as completed: It Suderstrand remains an officially designated bathing location in 2026. Posts, ropes and local markers therefore remain important for understanding the current layout.
