Strand Horst is a well-known shallow-water venue on Wolderwijd. Knee- to waist-deep areas support freeriding and lessons, with other board types depending on actual depth. Shore trees can make the wind gusty near the entry.

Use the grass for preparation, but launch the kite only from the water. Good conditions attract many watersports users to limited launching space. Check depth, clearance from other lines and a free return route rather than relying on the lake's sheltered appearance.
