About the spot

De Put faces the busy Westerschelde and requires experienced riders. Currents, shipping and a beach that becomes very small at high tide shape the session. The slippery dike is not an equivalent substitute for a safe launch.

The permitted kite area has strict limits. Stay out of the navigation channel and never interfere with commercial traffic. Kiting is not allowed when visibility is below two kilometres. A smooth-looking surface therefore does not make this a beginner venue.

An exceptionally demanding specialist spot for pro-level riders. Extreme spot hazards require precise control, local knowledge and agreed safety support.
