About the spot

The marker represents the southern sports beach near Paal 17. Broad sand, changing troughs and North Sea waves support suitable lessons as well as demanding wave sessions. Tide and currents matter at every skill level.

Documented sports-beach sections lie at posts 17.60–18.99 and farther north at 28.20–32. These are separate areas, not continuous permission along the island. Additional clearance applies around the lighthouse sea defences. Beginners should use instruction rather than assume that shallow troughs form a safe independent practice lagoon.
