About the spot

Vrouwenpolder offers a broad beach, tidal shallows and North Sea waves farther out. Higher water can form a lagoon, but it is neither permanent nor always deep enough to ride.

The curving coast changes the local wind angle. The designated summer section begins at the first pedestrian bridge over the N57 and extends to the municipal boundary. Keep on the authorised side of the yellow buoy as seen from shore. Beginners should use appropriate school conditions rather than arbitrary shallow patches.
