About the spot

Wijk aan Zee combines Noordpier waves with more exposed, current-affected water farther north. The pier modifies wind and surf, particularly in southwesterly airflow. Riders need experience with waves and sideways drift.

The HangOut and Pier profiles describe access to the same kite zone 2 and are combined here. Zone 1 immediately beside the pier is closed to kiters. The marked boundary near Aloha matters more than reaching the calmest-looking water. Use designated parking rather than roadside verges.
