About the spot

Orth offers shallow water on both sides of the peninsula in Orther Reede. The usable side depends on wind direction; changing sides around the harbour requires a fresh access assessment. Strong wind produces noticeable chop farther out.

Avoid harbour traffic and protected Krummsteert. Limited rigging space, shore stones and teaching areas reduce usable room. Ask the centre which side provides a clear and reliable return.
