About the spot

Praia do Cerro refers to Peniche de Cima at the southern end of the bay north of Peniche. This entry does not mean Supertubos or the rocky peninsula sections. It is a sandy wave beach, with wave shape and size dependent on swell and sandbanks.

Kite use is documented, but suitability depends on wind angle, surf and clear space. The bay can create wind shadow. Independent riders need reliable upwind ability and surf exits; swimming and surfing traffic add constraints at the launch.
