About the spot

The saline Fundata lake in Ialomița is named as a teaching location by a local kite operator. Shallower water can provide smoother conditions than the coast in suitable wind, although stronger conditions still create chop. Depth and shore access depend on the current water level.

Do not confuse it with the mountain village of Fundata near Brașov. Inspect grassy, sandy and locally stony margins before launching. Arrange instruction and the daily site directly; do not assume year-round supervision, constant standing depth or unrestricted access around the lake.
