About the spot

São Torpes south of Sines is a known watersports beach with documented kite use. The summer Nortada can arrive along the shore. The area offers waves, with surf shape and strength varying by swell and beach section.

Rocks and coastal structures constrain parts of the northern area in particular. Independent sessions require upwind control and surf experience. Swimmers and surf lessons can reduce available space. A calmer-looking section does not guarantee beginner conditions, and equipment needs to suit the actual water and air temperatures.
