About the spot

The northeast-facing bay near Eşelek is the more onshore kite venue at Gökçeada’s southeastern end. Volkite describes sand, a separated teaching sector and shallower water near shore. Northerly winds generate chop and waves; lessons stop on overly strong days.

Agree the daily area and support with the school. This differs from the southern Aydıncık side, where the same northerly can be offshore. Southerly weather reverses the exposure and requires a fresh assessment. Do not use the neighbouring salt lake as an alternative riding area.
